Rosacea Treatments: Use Natural Alternatives to Soothe your Skin

by Martha Fitzharris

Even though facial rosacea is very common, not everyone knows that they have it. Rosacea may appear as a simple rash, flushed skin, or even look like acne. However, it is highly important that you get the correct diagnosis if you want to treat it effectively.

These symptoms characterize rosacea:

*a tendency to blush

*redness around the nose, cheeks and forehead

*small bumps appear on the nose

*small blood vessels on and around the nose and cheeks

Traditional Rosacea Remedies

Just like eczema, rosacea doesn't have a cure, however, traditional remedies can be effective in treating it. Sometimes, rosacea can even go into remission.

Conventional treatment methods will usually include avoiding triggers such as too much heat and humidity. Laser therapy can help eliminate small blood vessels on the nose. Conventional rosacea products can also help treat the swelling and redness that comes with this condition.

Treat Rosacea with Natural Products

By using a variety of natural products you can effectively treat rosacea. Here is a list of products that can help relieve the symptoms that accompany rosacea.

*Niacinamide Cream

Niacinamide is a form of vitamin B3. It can be used in a topical cream and even in the form of a dietary supplement. It is thought to improve the skin barrier, improve the skin's moisture level, and reduce inflammation.

*Green Tea Cream

Green tea is an excellent natural product that contains polyphenols which are thought to improve health. As a rosacea cream it has been shown to reduce the number of red bumps and pustules that usually appear on the face.

*Azelaic Acid Cream

This acid slows down the proliferation of skin bacteria, which in turn, helps reduce redness, papules and pustules. Azelaic acid cream has also been effective in reducing dryness, burning, and itching associated with rosacea. However, be warned that if you use this ingredient you may experience a stinging sensation, especially if you have sensitive skin.

Natural Home Remedies for Rosacea

Currently there are several plants and herbs being used to treat rosacea skin. Some of the most commonly used include rose hip (seed) oil, chamomile, licorice, and aloe vera.

*Digestive Enzymes

It is common for most people with rosacea to have indigestion. It was discovered that a deficiency of lipase is linked to both conditions. Lipase supplements seemed to treat both problems.

*Apple Cider Vinegar

This product is so remarkable that it has been used to treat weight problems. This occurs because it seems to help regulate the bacterial balance of the intestines, which in turn, helps control indigestion.

BIOSKINCLEAR is an acne treatment gel that can also be used to treat rosacea. BIOSKINCLEAR is a skin care product that contains snail serum and licorice root extract. In fact, this perfect mix of ingredients makes it an excellent rosacea treatment for even the most sensitive skin type.
